Kachow!

If you have spent any time around Whit you probably know that he LOVES Lightning McQueen. I mean, loves anything from Cars- it doesn't matter what. Marketing people are brilliant and realized that if a product had Cars on it a child would want it, and that is exactly Whit. So, it was pretty easy to come up with a theme for his birthday party- Cars! He also loves riding his bike and racing so I decided to have everyone bring their bikes over and we would have a real race.

After decorating his bike

Snacks!

Go, Thompson, Go!

Go Hadley!

Parties are tiring! You would think from this picture he slept all afternoon, however it was his typical hour and a half nap.

Graham is ready to go!

Whit got LOTS of Cars gear!

We had a fun day celebrating and are thankful for sweet friends to help us celebrate Whit's life!

Oops... I did it again

Well, well, well... guess what happens when you run down the stairs, slip, and fall? You get this:

I will say that even though I might be spending quite some time in this boot, and it's my driving foot, which really stinks, there are so many things to be thankful for in this situation. 1) I wasn't holding a child. 2) I didn't have to have a screw put in between my bones like I thought I might for a few minutes. 3) I'm healthy! I think about the moms who are in the hospital- who have cancer- so why can I complain about my foot in a boot? It slows me down but I'm doing just fine. I would ask for your prayers though- for all of us :) And for a quick healing!

Meet me in St. Louis

Over Memorial Day weekend we took the crazies to St. Louis with my parents and had a blast. By blast I mean little sleep for the kiddos, thus the kiddos melting down, but all-in-all it was a great time. St. Louis is a great place to visit with kids because there is so much to do and most of it is free! Hello, bargain!

(Warning- lots of pictures! This should last you a few days, Melissa :))

The arch was NOT for me!

Go Jennie... it's your birfday

My birthday has come and gone for this year but it was a great day! John woke me up to tell me I had to be at Gould's at 8 for a 4 hour spa package. Why yes, I think that works for me! The day took an unexpected turn when I had to take T to the doctor to find out he had a virus, but at least the boys got to play on the playground. Then we headed to mom's for dinner. It was a great day, and I told John he never has to think about what to get me again- 4 hours at the spa is pretty much perfect on every birthday from here on out!

My pretty blue toes, which look a little frightening in the picture

And this little beauty is one of the reasons I'm currently on a diet

I got to wake up to this sweet boy singing me happy birthday
